On Wednesday, July 8, 2020, Eric R. Brown entered into eternal peace after a great loss. He was a loving son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend. He will forever be cherished.

Eric was born on May 2, 1991 to Tracey S. Brown-Sapp and Eric R. Stiff, Sr. At an early age he accepted Christ. Eric attended the Newport News Public School system and achieved certification in Forklift driving and a Welding Apprenticeship.

Eric had a strong (multiple)personality that always consisted of a smile. He was a hard worker, dedicated, and full of determination. Eric had a personality that brought joy and plenty of laughter into everyone that encountered his life. Eric spent his past time socializing, playing cards, and fishing. His love for his aunt jean was immeasurable. His greatest pride was his family but his ultimate joy was spending time with his nieces and nephew.

Preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Nathan E. Brown; great-aunt, Barbara Harrison, uncle, Benjamin Dabney, and god-mother, Lisa Tyler. Eric leaves to cherish, celebrate, and continue his legacy: his mother, Tracey Brown-Sapp (Brian), his father, Eric R. Stiff Sr, paternal grandmother, Mary Dabney, maternal grandmother, Happy J. Brown, four sisters Lynn Warren of Portsmouth, VA, Ciera Moore of Surry, VA, Rikkia and Kiasia Fauntleroy of Newport News, VA., one brother, Eric R. Stiff Jr. of Wakefield, VA, two nieces, Jer’Mylah and Jizzelle; one nephew, Logan and a host of, cousins, extended family members and friends.

A viewing will be held 5-7 P. M. Monday. July 13, 2020 at Lebanon Baptist Church 162 Lebanon Road Surry, Va.

A service will be held 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 14, 2020.  Interment will be in Davis Cermetery
