Jaquan M. Parson

Jaquan Markell Parson was born August 23, 1994 in West Chester County, New York to Cornelius Parson and Greta Clements. Jaquan was called home to rest with the Lord, February 17, 2021.

Jaquan graduated from Surry County High School in 2013. After graduating he enlisted in the United States Army where he served our country for 4 years.

He had a passion for skateboarding, you rarely saw him without one.  He loved drawing and playing video games. He had a big heart, a loving smile and he loved children, especially his two nieces Ava and Skye, and his little cousin Xavier Holloway.

Jaquan was preceded in death by his grandparents Lawrence and Margaret Parson. Uncle Nathan Brown. Aunt Doris Parson

He leaves to cherish his memories his parents:

Cornelius & Michelle Parson Sr. of Spring Grove, VA, Greta Clements & Mark McCoy of Henrico, VA. His grandparents; Donald & Margie Harrell of Austin, Tx, Willie & Sally Brown of Yonkers, NY. His brothers Cornelius Parson II, Bowling Green, KY, Jeremy Carter Spring Grove, VA. Christian Clements Hopewell, VA, John Clements Jr. Hopewell, VA. His sisters RaeChaun Edwards Portsmouth, VA, Jonte Clements Henrico, VA, and Mya Parson Spring Grove, VA. Two nieces Ava Parson and Skye Carter. Eight uncles, four aunts, and a host of cousins and friends.

God’s Garden

God looked around his garden and found an empty place

He then looked down on earth and saw your tired face.

He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest

God’s Garden must be beautiful, he always take the best.

He knew that you were suffering He knew you were in pain.

He knew you would never get well on earth again.

He saw that the road was getting rough and the hills were hard to climb.

So, he closed your weary eyelids and whispered, “Peace be Thine”.

It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn’t go alone.

A public viewing will be held 12-4:00 PM Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Poole’s Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held 11:00 Monday, March 8, 2021 at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veteran Cemetery, Suffolk.
