Kelly Joy Turner

Kelly Joy Turner of Waverly, Va., born Kelly Joy Comstock on November 1, 1968, at Fort Ord Monterey, CA., ascended to eternal life on January 19, 2025, to be reunited with our Lord and Savior, where love and joy eternally reign.

As a devoted mother, Kelly's love and legacy will live on through her three children, Jacquelyn Norris, Christopher Turner, and Brandon Turner, who will continue to spread her love, kindness, and generosity.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Comstock Sr. and Cheryl Spears (Reece), and husband Richard Spears, who now welcome her to eternal peace.

Kelly's memory will be cherished by her surviving siblings, brother Thomas Comstock Jr. (wife Rose) and sister Christy Lassandro (husband Michael), who will continue to celebrate her life.

Her children, Jacquelyn Norris, Christopher Turner (girlfriend Blakely Phillips), and Brandon Turner, along with her grandchildren Jalina Newman, Joey Rolands, Jacquelina Norris, and Jesenia Norris, will keep her love and light shining bright.

Kelly's heart was filled with joy and adventure, evident in her fondest memories of taking her children and grandchildren to Walt Disney World with her mother and siblings, creating a legacy of love and laughter. Her love for travel, roller coasters, and ziplining was contagious, inspiring those around her to live life to the fullest and pursue their passions. Kelly and her brother Tom shared a passion for competing in pool tournaments, fostering a spirit of friendly competition and camaraderie. Her selfless spirit and desire to help others led her to pursue a degree in interpretation for the hearing impaired at Jacksonville State University, embodying her commitment to serving others. Kelly's love, kindness, and generosity will forever be remembered, and her legacy will continue to inspire all who knew her to live with purpose and compassion.

No service will be held at this time, and her final resting place will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cincinnati, OH, where she will be laid to rest in peace and love.
