Mrs. Mable Pierce Obituary

Mable Poole Pierce was called home to her eternal rest on December 20, 2020.  She was born to the late Olandis and Estelle Poole on October 15, 1936 in Surry County VA.  She was a graduate of L.P. Jackson High School Surry County VA and attended Virginia State College Norfolk Division, now known as Norfolk State University.  She was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Allen Pierce Sr, son Christopher, grandson Dernell, great grandson Kenneth, sisters Barbara Savage, Gloria Bailey, Florence Davis, and brother Melvin Poole Sr.

Mable leaves to cherish her memories, daughter Evangeline (Theodore) Blount, sons: Allen Jr (Donna), Kenneth (Faye), Elton, and Darrell (Tracy), nine grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, and brother Earnest (Florene) Poole.

Family only viewing will be Sunday December 27, 2020 from 2:00pm – 4:00 pm at Poole's Funeral Home, 8721 Colonial Trail E, Smithfield VA.  A celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 am on Monday December 28, 2020 with viewing one hour prior at Gethsemane Baptist Church 5405 Roanoke Ave, Newport News VA, 23605.  Facial masks and social distancing will be required. Funeral service will be live-streamed at church website, gethsemanebaptist.org and   https://www.youtube.com/c/GBCTVlive.
