Tammy A. Smith, a loving mother, dedicated professional, and cherished friend to many, passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2024, at the age of 60. Her passing leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of all who knew her, but her legacy of love, perseverance, and kindness will forever endure.

Born on January 10, 1964, in Suffolk, Virginia, Tammy was a beacon of light and positivity from an early age. Known for her boundless energy and work ethic, she built a life rooted in determination and compassion. Whether at work, at home, or in her community, she was a tireless force, always striving to make life better for those around her.

As a mother, Tammy was a pillar of strength and unwavering love. She raised her children with a balance of warmth and wisdom, instilling in them the values of integrity, resilience, and generosity. Her selflessness knew no bounds, as she often sacrificed her own needs to ensure her family thrived.

Beyond her professional and family life, Tammy had a genuine love for people and a passion for creating beauty and warmth in every aspect of her life. Tammy was preceded in death by her mother, Dr. Florence P. Blount. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of twelve years Gerald Smith Sr., her father Shadrack Conley Sr., brothers Timothy Conley, Mark Conley (Stephanie), and Shadrack Conley Jr., and sister Sandra Powell (Quentin), three children – Shequita Conley, Tamika Figgs (Brent) and LaShelby Conley (Ebony), four grandchildren – Addison Figgs, Mia Conley, Eliana Conley, and Anderson Figgs, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Though her earthy journey here has ended, Tammy’s love, laughter, and unwavering spirit will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
